Taizé Worship

Friday, February 16 | 7:00 PM | Main Sanctuary, by the altar

“It is a time to rest in God, to let the words listened to and sung penetrate one’s being” — Brother John,Taizé monk

Lent, a season on contemplation and prayer, is a great time to step away from your frenzied schedule and join us for an opportunity to spend an hour in peace.

Enter the sanctuary. The lights are dim, there is quiet and stillness. The space is softly lit with candles.

Taizé worship pulls us back into the spirit of Lent. Our worship follows the Taizé tradition  including reflective music and chants, readings, and a time of silence for quiet prayer.  This meditative services allows us to be in the moment, “letting Christ, through the Holy Spirit, pray in us.”
