Programs for Kids (Birth-Grade 5)
Our professionally staffed nursery provides a safe and nurturing environment where you can confidently leave your child to enjoy Sunday morning worship and spiritual formation opportunities with a sense of security. Learn more here.
Sun 9:00 & 11:15 AM | Potty-trained 3 yr. olds – Grade 2 | Chapel

Worship that’s perfect for kids! In Children’s Chapel we sing, listen to scripture, engage with the scripture through activities and pray. To participate, simply bring your child(ren) to the Chapel prior to the service. Kids will rejoice their families at The Peace in time to share in Holy Communion.
Sun 10:15 – 11:05 AM
Age Group 1: Potty-trained 3 yr. olds – Grade 2 | St. Nicholas Room
Age Group 2: Grades 3-5 | St. Francis Room

In God Squad, we engage with stories about people from the Bible who are a part of God’s squad just like us! It is through their stories that we can learn more about God and what God has in mind for us. We do this with storytelling, art, games, music, and much more!
Wed 6:30-7:00 PM
Potty-trained 3 yr. olds – Grade 2 | Chapel

Designed for children to have fun while developing a love for music, Grace Note kids learn how to read music and sing with others. The children learn songs they will share during worship services throughout the church year.
Wed 6:30-7:00 PM
Grades 3-5 | Sanctuary

Kids in grades 3 through 5 enjoy a music curriculum that includes elements of music theory, note reading, and harmony singing for a fun and challenging experience! Kids perform at worship and special music presentation opportunities through the year.
Wed 7:00 – 8:00 PM | Grades K – 5 | St. Francis Room

At Quest, we will explore what it means to be God’s people in the world. We will explore through community and fellowship with others, a little bit of prayer, and a whole lot of play!
Programs for Youth (Grades 6-12)
PRISM > Beginning Sept 12!
Wed 6:30 – 8:00 PM | Grades 6 & 7 | St. Ignatius Youth Room

One small step… one big leap into Youth Group! 6th & 7th Graders gather on Wednesdays following the Community Dinner for a time to build friendships through community service and spiritual exploration. We tackle some tough questions but we have lots of fun while we do it!
CONFIRMATION > Beginning Sept 12!
Wed 6:30 – 8:00 PM | Grades 8 & 9 | St. Felicity & St. Perpetua Rooms
Confirmation at St. Stephen’s is about so much more than making the decision to become a confirmed member of the Episcopal Church… it is a spiritual journey. And each journey has a story. This year, we will be exploring not only the tradition, Scripture, and reasoning that makes up our faith but also where your own spiritual life fits into God’s unfolding plan. We’ll focus on the question, “what’s your story?” as we explore how God shows up in the most unexpected of ways. We also leave plenty of room for service and fellowship opportunities. Our 8th & 9th graders meet in distinct groups allowing for deeper conversations and friendships as the grade travels together.
SPECTRUM > Beginning Sept 16!
Sun 5:30-7:00 PM | Grades 10-12 | St. Ignatius Youth Room

Spectrum is especially designed for our high school students to explore the deep questions of their faith, to serve the metro community, to discover their spiritual gifts, and create lasting friendships. Sunday evenings are a time to gear up for the week ahead and be rejuvenated by our peers and mentors. Moreover, Spectrum is a place to equip our young people with the tools necessary for a life-long spiritual journey with Christ.
unstructured > Beginning Sept 16!
Sun 10:00-11:00 AM & Wed 6:00-8:00 PM | Grades 6-12 | St. Joan Room

The new former “Christian Education Resource Room” has been renamed the St. Joan of Arc Room and it’s the new HQ youth! The space is available to our 6th-12th grade students to gather, hang, play and connect. The room is , well, unstructured. In it you’ll find mandalas for relaxing, books to read, board games to play, a Wii, places to do homework, and an adult (sorry, we just had to!) No formal programming takes place in unstructured. It’s a space for our youth to enjoy one another’s company and feel at home in our church building.

Volunteers are the heart of our Children’s & Youth Ministries. There are MANY opportunities in our programs for all types of volunteers. We need administrative assistance, caring adults to work in our nursery and in all programs, as well as adults to help with special events throughout the year. There’s an opportunity for YOU no matter what day of the week or how frequently you are available.

The BEST WAY to get connected to the right ministry for you is to reach out to Missy Greene or Matt Lewellyn-Otten. They will help you find a place where you can share your gifts with the kids and youth of our parish.
