Stewardship Stories

I love the commitment to music at St. Stephen’s. Whether it is choral, instrumental, or bells we offer wonderful opportunities for both adults and children. There is an old saying that those who sing pray twice: with their lips as well as with their hearts and minds. My dream for the St. Stephen’s church family is that everyone will get to know everyone else’s name.”

I have been a lay Eucharistic minister at St. Stephen’ s for more than ten years, and the moments of being a lector and serving the chalice have been a highlight for me. I have also felt tremendously nourished by individual spiritual direction with clergy and hearing the spiritual journeys of women at St. Stephen’s.

I believe that God blesses us so that we can bless others. An important way of doing this for our family has been to give to the people and places we value; and that certainly includes St. Stephens. It’s a joy to support the church that has enriched our family for nearly 20 years through worship, friendship, and the chance to serve others. We are honored to support St. Stephens both now and – as Bridge Builders- in the future as well.

St. Stephen’s has had a huge impact on the spiritual growth of our family. We started coming here when our children were very young, and they have grown up in the church with the loving support of many of our members and staff. This is a special community, and our annual contribution reflects our commitment to ensure the community continues to thrive in the years ahead.
