The Giving Tree

St. Stephen’s, in partnership with other congregations, helps to create an annual gift shopping experience called the Giving Tree. This empowering experience enables parents, whose families have moved out of Families Moving Forward shelters into stable housing, to provide Christmas gifts for their children from a selection of donated items which we will collect with your support. This is a wonderful opportunity for you to support St. Stephen’s Housing Ministry and there are several ways that you can help.

We are seeking volunteers to help on the day of the shopping event. Options for service include setting-up, receiving gifts, helping shoppers, and wrapping gifts. View and sign-up volunteer opportunities here.

There are several ways for you to help stock the store for the Giving Tree shopping day.

Pick Up at Tag at Church. Visit our table between morning services on Sundays in November. Pick a tag from our tree. The tag will contain all the details you need to purchase a gift and there are a wide variety of gifts from which to choose. Simply purchase the item(s) and drop them back off (unwrapped) at the church on Sundays or in the church office during the week.

Purchase Gifts Off Our Online Registry. The easiest option! Visit our online Amazon Wish List, pick and buy an item and it will be shipped directly to the church. Easy as that! View our Amazon Wish List here.

Donate Cash. Leave the shopping to us! We will gratefully accept your cash donation which we will use to purchase gifts off our list. Simply mail your check to church with a notation of “Giving Tree Donation” or bring it to the Giving Tree table between Sunday morning worship services.
