What is prayer? Is it a magic wand we wave in front of God to get him to turn events and situations to our advantage? Is it simply a conversation? Is it worship? Is it only for adults and priest? What about children? Why? When? And how should we talk to God?
Jesus gave a guide to help answer these questions in Matthew 6, what we now call the Lord’s Prayer. We recite this prayer every Sunday but might not understand the different concepts behind these verses such as the holiness of God, God’s provision, the importance of forgiving, as well as being forgiven and so on.
Each week we will have a Pathway Point – Central Theme of the night. In-Focus Verse – this verse will either be from the Lord’s Prayer or another verse that summarizes the concept behind the Pathway Point. Wayside Rests – Every 15 minutes we will have Wayside Rest for children to join in on the fun or a need to venture home. What this will do will help the teachers not to be detoured as they drive home the Pathway Point.
Time: 6:30 till 8:00!
