The Way of the Cross – April 6

6:00 pm (Sanctuary)
Join parishioner, Keith Friede and The Rev. Diane Elliott, for a second opportunity to experience evening prayer with an artistically inspired journey through the stained glass of St. Stephen’s Church.  The devotion, known as the Way of the Cross, is an adaptation of a custom of pilgrims to Jerusalem offering prayer at a series of locations traditionally associated with Jesus’ passion and death. This service is meant to honor and remember those pilgrimages as we walk and view the story of last days of our Savior, Jesus Christ, through our stained glass windows.

Taizé Worship

The season of Lent, a time of reflection and penitence, is the perfect time for you to experience the simple yet powerful atmosphere of Taizé worship. Our time will follow the tradition of Taizé worship including periods of silent reflection and sung prayer.

From early times Christians have observed the week before Easter as a time of special devotion. St. Stephen’s marks this sacred week with prayerful liturgies and traditions as we join in remembering Christ’s Passion and Resurrection.
