Weekly Announcements

Come read with us!
If you enjoy reading, you should join St. Stephen’s Book Club that meets at 1:30 p.m. on the second Tuesday of each month in the Church Library.  A wide variety of titles, from classics to best sellers, are selected by those in the group to be read throughout the year and discussed at the meetings.
The book to be discussed on Tuesday, May 8th is: “Caleb’s Crossing” by Geraldine Brooks.
In this her newest novel, Pulitzer Prize-winning author Books, focuses on American life in the sixteenth century. Bertha, a minister’s daughter meets Caleb, the son of a Indian chieftain.  The triumphs and turmoil they experience as they search for their destinies makes for an engaging and believable tale.
The book for discussion on Tuesday, June 12 will be: “Hotel on the Corner of Bitter and Sweet” by Jamie Ford.
