Women in Fellowship

Saturday, January 12 | 8:30 AM | Commons Room | Speaker: Janny Gothro
WIF is an inter-generational gathering where one woman shares her spiritual journey, refreshing and inspiring all women. Our mission is to provide opportunities for women to unite, share and exchange ideas while growing together spiritually as we focus on God’s will for our lives.

We look forward to welcoming parishioner Janny Gothro as our guest speaker. Janny and her husband Geoff may be familiar to you as they chaired our parish’s most recent Bash After Dark event this past November. The couple came to St. Stephen’s almost three years ago to check out our new Rector and they’ve been with us ever since! Though she didn’t grow up in the Episcopal Church, Janny felt a connection right away. “It was a great relief as we had been church-shopping for quite a long time and knew we had found a new church home.”

Since joining St. Stephen’s Janny has been baptized and confirmed, serves on the prayer and worship ministry teams and thoroughly enjoys the food and fellowship of Women’s Chef Society. She is excited to share her faith journey with the women of St. Stephen’s including sharing how serving her entire career at Park Nicollet OB-GYN caring for women has impacted her life. “It was an intimate privilege to be their companion through such a vulnerable, exciting and life-changing journey.”

Since her retirement 10 years ago Janny’s donned a Nurse Practitioner hat many times for family members and even herself, while also exploring new pursuits such as becoming a Holy Yoga instructor. She’s looking forward to sharing her journey of designing “Chapter Two” of her life and how she can continue to serve others.

Join us as we gather at 8:30 for a continental breakfast provided by those attending the gathering. Bring something to share or simply come and enjoy the atmosphere while feeding your body and soul. All women are welcome!
