St. Stephen’s Children’s and Youth Ministries aim to provide families with a clear and continuous path for learning and spiritual growth, creating and strengthening a life of Christian faith from infancy into adulthood.
In Youth Ministry, we walk alongside students in grades 6-12 as they grow in faith, encouraging them to build meaningful relationships with God and with one another. We believe that being part of a church community is essential to nurturing faith and helping young people discover God’s love in their own lives. Our programs invite middle and senior high students to explore what it means to belong to a community of faith, seek God’s presence in their journey, and live out that faith through service and fellowship.

MIDDLE SCHOOL MINISTRY

Building faith and friendships that last.
Middle school is a time of big changes and growth, and we’re here to walk with students as they deepen their relationship with God. Our Middle School Ministry is a space for fun, faith, and friendship – filled with games, prayer, service, and small group conversations about what it means to follow Jesus in everyday life.
HIGH SCHOOL MINISTRY
Wednesdays: 6:30-7:30 PM

Our High School Ministry is a space for students to dive deeper into Scripture through engaging discussions, meaningful prayer, and real conversations about faith – with continuing opportunities for service projects and plenty of time to laugh and grow together as followers of Jesus.
TEENS ENCOUNTER CHRIST

Teens Encounter Christ (TEC) is a weekend retreat designed for high school students (grades 9–12) to deepen their faith and build lasting friendships. Through worship, peer-led talks, small group discussions, shared meals, prayer and worship, students experience the love of Christ in meaningful ways.
YOUTH EVENTS & TRIPS
Faith in action, life in community.
Throughout the year, our youth in grades 6-12 come together for special events that go beyond our regular gatherings. From fall/spring Teens Encounter Christ (TEC) Weekends and other retreats, camp, mission trips and service projects to fun outings exploring the Twin Cities, these experiences are a chance to grow in faith, serve alongside others, and build lasting friendships.

CONFIRMATION PREPARATION
Grades 9-12
A milestone of faith. A journey with Christ.
The Sacrament of Confirmation is a powerful milestone where young people make a mature statement of faith, surrounded by the love and support of our church family. Students in grades 9–12 are invited to prepare when they feel ready. Our next Confirmation Group will begin in the fall of 2026. The group digs into big questions of faith through the Episcopal tradition of Scripture, Tradition, and Reason – walking together toward the Confirmation rite in spring 2027.
