At St. Stephen’s Church we recognize how music enhances our worship in ways that words alone can’t. This is as true for the musicians who sing or play as it is for the listeners in the pews. We have a very long, rich, and varied tradition of musical styles and we keep that tradition alive today! The music our parish enjoys is made possible through parishioners sharing their vocal and instrumental talents. We offer opportunities to musicians of all ages and skill levels and there are a wide variety of musical styles in which you may participate.

Rehearsals: Wednesdays, 7:00-8:30 PM beginning September 14

The Parish Choir adds depth to our worship services and special performances throughout the year. The choir is open to high school students and adults. We are always looking for new singers with all ranges of experience who are seeking the challenge of sharing a wide variety of musical styles from Beethoven and John Rutter to contemporary works by Dan Forrest, Karl Jenkins, and Mark Hayes.

DIRECTOR: Clark Duhrkopf,

We are thrilled to be able to resume offering opportunities for children (potty-trained 3 years old – grade 5) to participate in music-making at St. Stephen’s this fall. All kids will enjoy learning elements of music theory, note reading, and harmony singing. There are no weekday rehearsals for the children’s choir; all rehearsals are scheduled on Sunday mornings to accommodate busy family schedules! Kids perform at worship and special music presentation opportunities throughout the year.
