Blessing of the Animals

Blessing of the Animals

God loves a joyful noise—even if it’s a squawk.

In celebration of the Feast Day of St. Francis of Assisi, we invite you to our annual Blessing of the Animals on Saturday, October 5.

Bring your beloved pets—furry, feathered, or scaly—for this special outdoor service on the front lawn. Together we’ll share Holy Eucharist, hear Fr. Tom’s interactive retelling of the Creation Story, and offer individual blessings for each animal present.

Please bring chairs or a blanket for seating. A limited number of chairs will be available on the sidewalk for those who need a firm, level surface.

Come as you are—wiggles, barks, and meows included! Friends, neighbors, and animal lovers of all ages are welcome.

☀️ If weather permits: We’ll gather outdoors on the lawn.
🌧️ If it rains: We’ll move indoors.
