Join us in a spiritual journey this church year.
In the noise and negativity that surrounds us today, it can be hard to experience the wonder and joy of our faith. This church year, we’ll journey with C.S. Lewis, who invites us into a different world, one that can help all of us see our current world with fresh eyes. That different world is Narnia, and when Lewis wrote The Chronicles of Narnia, he created more than stories — he created an opportunity for a spiritual journey.
We invite everyone in our community to be drawn into Narnia with us this church year when we’ll read four of the seven books from the series between Advent and Easter. Together, we will explore the Christian themes, spirituality, and theology found within this beloved classic.
Our Drawn into Narnia series is for all ages. Seriously. All ages will enjoy the adventure and find spiritual meaning within the pages of these books. Scholars and theologians have studied these stories and their Christian themes for years. Perhaps author C.S. Lewis said it best when he said, “No book is really worth reading at the age of ten which is not equally – and often far more – worth reading at the age of fifty and beyond.”
This fall, we’ll be concluding our year-long journey as we read the final two books in our series: The Silver Chair and The Last Battle. We are offering several opportunities to gather as a community to read a few chapters together. Get details of our community reading events here.
