Come and celebrate the arrival of the Christ Child with us on this sacred night. In one of the most cherished services of the year, we proclaim the Light revealed to us on this holy evening.
We celebrate Christ’s birth with Holy Eucharist, readings from Holy Scripture, favorite hymns, and music from guest trumpet player, Ryan Stransky. In addition, we will have an opportunity for a wonderful Congregational Sign-Along. Singers of all ages and experiences levels are invited to participate. Simply come up during the service and join with members of our Parish Choir to sing a beautiful version of In The Bleak Midwinter. If you choose, you may view or listen to the music using these links.
Dr. Ryan Stransky is currently serving as Assistant Professor of Music, Brass Area Coordinator at Alcorn State University in Lorman, Mississippi. Dr. Stransky completed his DMA in Trumpet Performance at the University of Southern California, MM in Trumpet Performance from Temple University, and BM in Trumpet Performance from the University of Minnesota. During his time at the University of Minnesota, Dr. Stransky could be found each weekend as a member of the St. Stephens Episcopal Church Music Ministry from 2013-2016. He is thankful and blessed to have been part of the amazing community and family at St. Stephens, and is joyful to be back for the Christmas Season.
