Compass: Resurrection – Part 1

Compass: Resurrection – Part 1

Resurrection: The Bright Thread Running From Genesis to Revelation

The Season of Easter invites us to celebrate Jesus’ resurrection—God’s decisive victory over all that diminishes and destroys life. But resurrection doesn’t begin on Easter morning. It is a promise woven throughout the entire story of Scripture, from Genesis to Revelation – and it reaches into our lives today.

In this two-part series, Joyce Denham will guide us in tracing this “bright thread” of resurrection across the Bible. Together, we’ll explore how God has been bringing life out of loss, hope out of despair, and new beginnings out of endings from the very beginning – and what that means for us now.

Come for rich conversation, fresh insight, coffee, and treats.

ABOUT COMPASS ADULT FORMATION

Compass, led by Joyce Denham, is our Sunday morning Adult Formation class in which we study the literature of the Bible as our compass for life. Compass is for everyone at St. Stephen’s, and beyond. Invite others! It’s a place to make friends, laugh, and stretch our minds, as Joyce unravels the narratives and poetry of the Bible to discover what they have to say to us today. No registration is needed.
