Angels and Thin Places

The early Celtic Christians in Ireland knew a lot about thin places—those times and locations when the veil between our material world and the unseen spiritual realm seems absent, when a person feels she has a foot in both worlds. These thin places often involve the presence of angels—righteous spirit-beings inhabiting God’s heavenly Council Room. In this session, we’ll turn to some of our Celtic ancestors in the faith to learn about their own thin places and encounters with angels.

Adult Forum presents Compass

Compass, led by Joyce Denham, is our Sunday morning Adult Formation class in which we study the literature of the Bible as our compass for life. Compass is for everyone at St. Stephen’s, and beyond. Invite others! It’s a place to make friends, laugh, and stretch our minds, as Joyce unravels the narratives and poetry of the Bible to discover what they have to say to us today. No registration is needed.
