Compass: Celtic Christian Theology

Earth, Sea, and Sky

It’s no secret that the early Celtic Christians saw their close connection to Creation. They lived close to the earth and the sea, and they watched the sky. Their prayers and other writings are filled with their affection for the natural world, their understanding of themselves as creatures in a larger creation, and their desire to worship the Creator of Earth, Sea, and Sky. What can we learn from them today? What do they teach us about our own connection to God’s creation—and what it teaches us?

Adult Forum presents Compass

Compass, led by Joyce Denham, is our Sunday morning Adult Formation class in which we study the literature of the Bible as our compass for life. Compass is for everyone at St. Stephen’s, and beyond. Invite others! It’s a place to make friends, laugh, and stretch our minds, as Joyce unravels the narratives and poetry of the Bible to discover what they have to say to us today. No registration is needed.
