Dwelling in Scripture: Famous Verse Series

Week 1

Join Rev. Christy Stang for a new series of Wednesday evening Bible study opportunities! These reflective sessions are rooted in prayer and guided by discussion as we share our own experiences and reflections inspired by our Scripture passage for each session. If you’re looking for a more personal and conversational way to engage with Scripture in community, these sessions are for you.

Each series will include three weeks on a different topic. Come to every series or just pick the topics that interest you. All are welcome!

All sessions will be held from 6:30-7:30 PM in the Library. We encourage you to join us for dinner before this Bible Study! Community dinner is served from 5:45-6:30 PM.

SERIES 1: DWELLING IN FAMOUS VERSES

To start off the year, join us for a reflective series of Bible conversations on famous Bible verses. We’ll spend time with familiar words in Scripture – that God loves the world, nothing can separate us from the love of God, and God invites us to lay our burdens down. We have heard these ideas before, but what do they really mean for us?

  • January 29: Romans 8:38-39
(“…nor anything else in all creation will be able to separate us from the love of God…”)
  • February 5: John 3:16
(“For God so loved the world…”)
  • March 12: Matthew 11:28
(“Come to me, all you who are weary…”)
