Senior Fellowship Luncheon

Speaker: Danette Halloran, Greater Mpls Crisis Nursery

Friendship, Faith, and Lifelong Learning

Join us for our fall Senior Fellowship Luncheon with guest speaker Danette Halloran, Corporate and Foundations Relations Manager at Greater Minneapolis Crisis Nursery (GMCN).

For over 40 years, GMCN has served as a lifeline for families in crisis, offering free, voluntary services such as a 24-hour helpline, emergency overnight care for children, and in-home family support. Families turn to the Nursery in times of homelessness, domestic violence, medical emergencies, or mental health challenges, and find a safe, nurturing environment where children can thrive and parents can regain stability.

St. Stephen’s has long supported the Nursery through supply drives, birthday kit donations, and annual grants of more than $10,000. Recently, our support expanded with an additional $5,000 gift to help renovate the Nursery’s playground.

Danette will share powerful stories of resilience and hope, highlighting how our partnership is making a difference for children and families across Hennepin County. Come enjoy lunch, fellowship, and inspiration as we celebrate this important outreach partner.

About Senior Fellowship Luncheons

Our Senior Fellowship Luncheons are designed to bring seniors together for connection and community. Each gathering offers the opportunity to enjoy a meal, share in fellowship, and hear from guest speakers from across the Twin Cities. Topics vary widely—from outreach and community service to history, current events, and practical advice – offering enrichment and inspiration in a welcoming setting.

Friends are always welcome, as are younger companions who are driving or bringing a senior to the event.
