THE BRIDGE BUILDERS SOCIETY
Those of us who worship, connect, grow, and live out our faith with St. Stephen’s today have greatly benefited from the planned contributions of those who preceded us. Our church would be quite different without these generous gifts.
St. Stephen’s established The Bridge Builders Society to recognize and thank those who have acknowledged a commitment to our church’s future either with an endowed gift during their lifetime or through their estate planning.
When you give a legacy gift, you deepen your relationship with the parish and leave behind something precious that will benefit tomorrow’s members. You build a bridge from the past to the future.
WHERE DO PLANNED GIFTS GO?
St. Stephen’s Church will invest all bequests and endowed gifts into its institutional funds, referred to as The St. Stephen’s Fund. The income generated from this fund is dedicated to enhancing the life of our parish and community by supporting the development, funding, and improvement of our ministries.
Planned giving is a thoughtful way to play an important part in the long term success and growth of St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church and to help assure that its mission will continue to grow for generations to come.
HOW DO I MAKE A PLANNED GIFT TO ST. STEPHEN’S?
You may make a planned gift in many ways. Common examples include naming St. Stephen’s Church as a beneficiary of your will, trust, retirement plan, life insurance policy, or life income gift.
You may also receive lifetime tax benefits from options such as allocating IRA contributions, or creating a charitable remainder trust (CRT), charitable lead trust (CLT), or charitable gift annuity.
St. Stephen’s is here to help you as you work with your financial, legal, and tax advisors to make the best choices for you.
HOW DO I JOIN THE BRIDGE BUILDERS SOCIETY?
All that is required to join the Bridge Builders Society is to let us know that you have included the church in your estate plan or an endowed gift. There is no minimum gift amount required for you to become a Bridge Builder. Every dollar is important and all are welcome.
