The Outreach Committee of St. Stephen’s Church is pleased to announce a drive in support of our friends at 66 West Apartments.
66 West, affordable housing apartments for young adults experiencing homelessness, is regularly welcoming new residents. Join us this May as we assist these young people in establishing new homes in Edina. During this drive, we’ll be restocking “Dale’s Closet,” which is filled with essential items needed by the new residents. For many, this is the first opportunity to choose new items for their own home. Learn more about 66 West below.
Supporting this drive is an easy way to show your support for these young adults!
The 66 West Move-In Drive runs from May 1 – 23, 2025.
You may easily take part in this drive in two ways:
Buy items from our Amazon Wish List.
This list has a wide variety of items and price points from which to choose. Note that some items showing large quantities in a set (e.g. pots and pans) will be divided among new residents. Items will be sent to St. Stephen’s Church and then delivered to 66 West.
Purchase items on your own and bring them to church.
Print this List of 66 West Suggested Items and then hit the store! Donations may be dropped off via the church office or in the link between the Nave and the Chapel.
ABOUT 66 WEST
66 West was developed by Beacon Interfaith Housing Collaborative in partnership with many faith communities, including St. Stephen’s. The building offers high quality, permanent housing with intensive services for 39 young adults, ages 18-24, who are experiencing homelessness. The location of the development, including its access to jobs and educational opportunities through transit, are key to its success. Before 66 West, housing options for homeless youth in the western suburbs were non existent; it is estimated that there are 250-300 young people homeless in the western suburbs on any given night.
