Outreach Partner Receives Land Use Approval for Aster Commons

December 1, 2023 // We are excited to share the news that on Tuesday, November 28, 2023, our Outreach partner Beacon Interfaith Housing Collaborative received critical land use approval from the City of Richfield to move forward with building Aster Commons. Aster Commons is a proposed development of 38 affordable studio apartments designed for neurodiverse young adults facing homelessness.

Read more about Aster Commons on the Beacon website.

Your Outreach Dollar at Work: The St. Stephen’s Outreach Committee made a seed grant of $21,000 to help fund the architectural planning and organizing efforts needed to bring the proposal before the City Council. Aster Commons will be built at the intersection of Portland and 66th Street near a large city park and public transportation.
