Our partners at Casa Maria, a ministry of St. Nicholas Episcopal Church in Richfield, are experiencing unprecedented demands for food. Even after pausing deliveries, walk-in numbers continue to rise – and food/supplies are often gone within the first 45 minutes of their weekly Saturday give-away! This reflects a growing challenge across local food shelves, all of which are facing similarly high demand.
Here are ways you can help meet Casa Maria’s most ugent needs –
1) Donate Food & Essentials
Casa Maria is quickly adapting to serve more families and welcomes donations:
-
Tuesdays: 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM (preferred)
-
Fridays, 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM (preferred)
-
Saturdays: 10:00 AM – 3:30 PM (if needed)
A current list of needed items is available here
2) Give Financially
Give financially to support weekly food purchases of approximately $1,500/week!
-
Online (preferred): https://givebutter.com/casa-maria
-

7227 Penn Ave. S., Richfield, MN 55423
3) Volunteer to Pick Up Food Orders
Casa Maria frequently needs volunteers with SUVs or trucks to pick up large food orders. If you’re able to help with occasional pickups (including lifting heavy boxes), please contact Casa Maria at 612-308-1898.
