Teens Encounter Christ (TEC)

Teens Encounter Christ (TEC) is a weekend retreat just for high school students – a chance to retreat from the everyday and connect with God, your faith, and each other. Over the weekend, you’ll hear peer-led talks, have small group disussions on real questions of faith, and experience Jesus’ story. There’s also plenty of time for games, special activities, great food, and space to rest and reflect.

TEC is created by students, for students! High schoolers in grades 9–12 are invited to attend TEC weekends, which happen twice a year – once in the fall and once in the spring.

If it’s your first TEC, you’ll come as a First Timer (sometimes referred to as a Candidate.)
Students who’ve attended TEC return as part of the TEC Team – helping to lead, plan, and make the weekend amazing for new students.

Alongside the students, a group of supportive adults help keep things running – whether that’s cooking meals, coordinating logistics, or serving on the TEC Board.

Come to Taste of TEC and get the inside scoop! At Taste of TEC, you’ll hang out with other teens, enjoy snacks, and hear directly from teens who’ve been part of TEC about what the retreat is really like. Ask questions, connect, and see if TEC might be your next step.
