6:00-6:45Community Dinner (Gathering Space)
Wednesday dinner is for everyone! We hope you will join us weekly whether you or your family participate in programs or not, this is a great night to skip dinner prep and come on over for mid-week food and fellowship. The cost of dinner is $5.00 or $20.00 per family.
6:00-8:00unstructured (St. Joan Room, Youth Education Wing)
Grades 10-12
The new former “Christian Education Resource Room” has been renamed the St. Joan of Arc Room and it’s the new HQ for youth! The space is available to gather, hang, play and connect. The room is , well, unstructured. In it, you’ll find mandalas for relaxing, books to read, board games to play, a Wii, places to do homework, and an adult (sorry, we just had to!) No formal programming takes place in unstructured. It’s a space for our youth to enjoy one another’s company and feel at home in our church building.
6:30-8:00Parent Fellowship (Gathering Space)
Take some time for yourself while kids attend programs to connect with other St. Stephen’s Parents. This is a casual time just for you!
6:30-8:00Prism (St. Ignatius Youth Room, Youth Education Wing)
Grades 6 & 7
One small step, one big leap into Youth Group! 6th & 7th graders gather on Wednesdays following the Community Dinner for a time to build friendships through community service and spiritual exploration. We tackle some tough questions but we have lots of fun while doing it!
6:30-8:00Confirmation (Youth Education Wing)
Grades 8 & 9
Confirmation at St. Stephen’s is about so much more than making the decision to become a confirmed member of the Episcopal Church… it is a spiritual journey. And each journey has a story. This year, we will be exploring not only the tradition, scripture, and reasoning that makes up our faith but also where your own spiritual life fits into God’s unfolding plan. We’ll focus on the question, “what’s your story?” as we explore how God shows up in the most unexpected of ways. We also leave plenty of room for service and fellowship opportunities. Our 8th & 9th graders meet in distinct groups allowing for deeper conversations and friendships as the grade travels together.
7:00-8:00Quest (St. Francis, Youth Education Wing)
Grades Kindergarten-Grade 5
At Quest, we will explore what it means to be God’s people in the world. We will learn through community and fellowship with others, a little bit of prayer, and a whole lot of play!
7:00-8:10Parish Choir (Chancel) The Parish Choir adds depth to our 9:00 am worship services and special performances throughout the year. The choir is open to high school students and adults. We are always looking for new singers with all ranges of experience who are seeking the challenge of sharing a wide variety of musical styles from Beethoven, and John Rutter to contemporary works by Dan Forrest, Karl Jenkins, and Mark Hayes.
7:00Martyrs Men's Group
Men meet at the Edina Country Club each week for fellowship and conversations about faith, work, and daily life.
8:10-8:30 PMRevival Gospel Choir (Chancel) Our 11:15 am worship-goers are blessed to enjoy the lively music of the Gospel Choir. Looking to sing uplifting and powerful spirituals from the likes of Moses Hogan and the Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir? Then this is the choir for you! The choir is open to high school students and adults.
