Holy Week

Commemorate the holiest week of the year and walk with Jesus as he makes his way to the cross. Enter Jerusalem with Jesus on Palm Sunday. Remember the Last Supper on Maundy Thursday. Keep watch with Jesus in the Garden of Gethsemane. Behold Christ crucified on Good Friday. Be led from darkness into light at the Great Vigil of Easter.

Palm Sunday – April 14

Palm Sunday, or Passion Sunday, marks the first day of Holy Week. Our worship will include the Liturgy of the Palms Processional and a reading of the Passion Narrative by the youth and adults of the parish.

(High Altar)
A contemplative service by candlelight when we will pray the ancient monastic office of Tenebrae and the Lamentations and Psalms of repentance and introspection.

Maundy Thursday – April 18

5:30 PM Children’s Maundy Thursday Foot Washing (Chapel)
Join us as we remember the moment when Jesus washed his disciple’s feet during their last supper together. This is the beginning of our three-day journey through Jesus’ last days.

6:00 PM Community Agapé Supper (Gathering Space)

Following the service, an overnight service will be held in the Chapel and will end just before the 7:00 AM prayer service on Good Friday. This opportunity of open to all. 

Good Friday – April 19

Good Friday, the Friday before Easter Day, is the day we commemorate the crucifixion of Jesus.

5:30 PM Children’s Stations of the Cross for Good Friday (Nave)
Join us and walk The Way of the Cross with 14 stations that illustrate Jesus’ path to the cross. We will use images for this child-friendly service that make the crucifixion accessible to kids.

7:00 PM Solemn Liturgy of Good Friday (Nave) ** includes special music from vocal and instrumental musicians

Holy Saturday – April 20

9:00 AM Prayer Service (High Altar)

7:00 PM The Great Vigil of Easter (Nave) ** includes music from the Parish Choir
This special service moves from darkness into light. We’ll share lessons that tell the story of redemption from Creation to Jesus Christ share the first Easter celebration of Holy Communion. Following the service, join us in the Commons Room for a Celebration of the Risen Christ! The reception is open to all and will include non-alcoholic beverages and champagne accompanied by a variety of desserts.

Easter Sunday – April 21

The Sunday of the Resurrection of Our Lord Jesus Christ

Kids are invited to join in the hunt for eggs! Please bring a basket for your child and join us on the lawn (weather permitting) for this fun Easter morning tradition.
