Any baptized person can join St. Stephen’s by expressing their desire to do so to the Rector. If you have not been baptized into the Christian faith and you would like to be, contact our Rector, Rev. Tom Cook. What is needed to be a member of our parish? Membership is formed and maintained by taking part in the life of the parish in the following ways –
- Attending worship regularly
- Offer your talents and skills to others
- Contributing to the financial support of the church, usually through an annual pledge
A St. Stephen’s Welcome – Membership Conversations
Those who wish to join St. Stephen’s are invited to attend a two-part series in preparation for New Member Welcome Sundays which happen a few times each year. These gatherings provide an opportunity for conversation and exploration with our Rector, Rev. Tom Cook, about faith and ministry in the church. The sessions cover several topics including the St. Stephen’s Community and Ministry, as well as discussion related to the Episcopal Church within the Christian Faith.
Our next St. Stephen’s Welcome sessions dates will be announced soon!
If you come to us from another faith tradition or even another Episcopal church, there are many ways to learn more about our Anglican heritage and our church home here at St. Stephen’s. Confirmation and Reception into the Church can be meaningful ways to deepen your connection and further your spiritual journey. Contact out Rector, Rev. Tom Cook, for more information.
If you have questions, please contact any of our clergy or staff and we will be delighted to help you get connected.
