Our Compass adult formation spring season closes with two stories of Courageous Women in Dangerous Days.
Part 1: Mary and the Book of Genesis
On Mother’s Day, we’ll consider the life of Jesus’ own mother, Mary, viewing her story from two much-overlooked angles: her profound connections to the creation story in Genesis and her part in a pattern of miracle births going back to Abraham and Sarah. We’ll discover what she teaches us about courage in the midst of danger and how our own courage can play a key role in God’s plan to rescue the creation.
Join us on May 18 for part 2 of this series, The Story of Abigail and David.
ABOUT COMPASS ADULT FORMATION
Compass, led by Joyce Denham, is our Sunday morning Adult Formation class in which we study the literature of the Bible as our compass for life. Compass is for everyone at St. Stephen’s, and beyond. Invite others! It’s a place to make friends, laugh, and stretch our minds, as Joyce unravels the narratives and poetry of the Bible to discover what they have to say to us today. No registration is needed.
