Join us for our November Women’s Gathering as we embark on an exploration of the Sisterhood of Saints. There are many remarkable women saints to discover. Where to begin? Based on your input from our October gathering, we will begin with the inspiring lives of Saint Teresa of Avila and Saint Harriet Tubman.
Our conversations will start with an overview of sainthood within the Episcopal Church. In what ways is sainthood in our faith alike and different from that in other denominations? What is the process for becoming a saint in our church?
Next, we will delve into the lives of two remarkable women. What qualities earned them recognition as saints in the eyes of the church? How do their characteristics compare, and what distinguishes them in their path to sainthood? What lessons can we take away from their lives?
Come enjoy a morning of inspiration and conversation with a side dish of yummy food. All women in the parish are invited and friends are always welcome so feel free to invite one of yours!
