Compass: Life, Death and Water

Water Imagery in the Bible

Compass: Life, Death and Water

Water Imagery in the Bible

The Bible begins and ends with water. And water appears everywhere in between. What does the Bible tell us about water? What part does it play in Creation? Above all, what does water mean? In the Bible, water carries great symbolism and great theological significance.

As a part of our Creation Care Committee Earth Day program Celebrating Water, join us for this special edition of Compass!

Our leader, Joyce Denham, will be sharing this new topic entitled Life, Death & Water: Water Imagery in the Bible, at which we’ll learn about God’s priceless gift of water to each of us, and how it enriches our worship and spiritual growth.

Can’t join us in person on Sunday mornings? Compass is offered live on ZOOM. Sign up for our weekly emails to receive the ZOOM link and links to video replays of each session.

Adult Forum presents Compass

Compass, led by Joyce Denham, is our Sunday morning Adult Formation class in which we study the literature of the Bible as our compass for life. Compass is for everyone at St. Stephen’s, and beyond. Invite others! It’s a place to make friends, laugh, and stretch our minds, as Joyce unravels the narratives and poetry of the Bible to discover what they have to say to us today. No registration is needed.
