Lent Madness

Lent Madness

ST. STEPHEN’S 10TH YEAR OF MADNESS!

Everyone is invited to join the seriously friendly competition where we learn about the saints in Lent. Yep, it’s cool. The format is straightforward: 32 saints are placed into a single-elimination tournament bracket and voters the world over determine the winner of each match up until one saint outlasts them all to be crowned with the Golden Halo. You complete your own bracket with who you think will win each match-up.

There is no cost to participate but bragging rights are at stake so get cracking – get brackets in by Ash Wed, March 5 for max points! The St. Stephen’s contestant with the most points at the end wins the undying adulation of an amazed and supportive congregation. And maybe a special prize or two… Who knows, Father Tom may even win this year (finally?!?)

ALL AGES are welcome to participate! Here’s how…

1. Download or pick up a bracket. You may download a bracket here or at lentmadness.org. You may also grab one downstairs at church at Lent Madness Command Central (aka the bulletin board in the hallway outside the Commons Room) on Sunday mornings.

2. Fill out your bracket. Write your name and email address on your bracket. To learn all about the saints vying for the Golden Halo this year, you can visit lentmadness.org or hit up Google.

3. Submit your bracket.
To submit your bracket this year

  • Take a photo of your bracket using your mobile device and email/text it to Fr. Tom at tcook@ststephens.com.
  • Drop your bracket off at church in the Church Office or at Lent Madness Command Central (aka the bulletin board outside the Commons room) on Sunday mornings.

No matter how you submit your bracket, be sure to get it in by
